Abstracting Reality with Kirsten Sorensen

Forget reality and concentrate on a non-representative artwork! Create an abstract painting from one of your favorite photographs. We will be concentrating on an area of one of your photographs for the most interesting options. Investigations include composition, color mixing, gridding and the use of acrylic paints on canvas. The history of abstraction, abstract artists and personal techniques will be covered.
