Come explore Bristol, Rhode Island, home of the oldest Fourth of July celebration in the nation. Our historic seafaring town is renowned for its natural beauty, architecture, arts and culture, and beautiful parks. The town boasts quaint shops, restaurants, and many carefully preserved historic landmarks and sites. This summer the Bristol Art Museum invites you to explore all this town has to has to offer during our 2nd "Art in the Garden" Tour.
Combining our love for nature and art, this self-guided tour will surely delight all who participate. From sweeping ocean fronts, to fig trees and flowers, to sculpture and rose gardens -- this year’s tour has an amazing array of beautiful flowering landscapes. From the historic Poppasquash peninsula to the Mt. Hope Bridge, attendees will have an opportunity to visit the grounds of private estates, historic mansions, and historic homes tucked away in our town.
This event will feature 12 magnificent gardens in the historic waterfront area of Bristol, RI. Each garden will host plein air artists and docents to welcome you. Tickets are $20 for BAM members and $30 for non-members. Tickets will be available to purchase on-line, over the phone, and onsite at 10 Wardwell Street, Bristol, RI.
Garden maps will be available for pick-up beginning at 9am on Saturday,
June 22nd at the Museum. Guests who have pre-purchased their tickets will check in at the desk to receive wrist bands for themselves and their guests.
Limited tickets will be available from 9am-10am on the day of the event, available at the door.
