This national exhibition displays artists’ work that explores materials and artistic processes that reflect the hard, the composite, and the delicate. Works may incorporate paper as a medium or subject and engage with broader themes of strength, fragility, and transformation. Playful experimentation and innovative approaches will unify the exhibit, welcoming all styles—from non-objective to abstracted realism.

The exhibition also features an installation by interdisciplinary artist Lisa Abbatomarco, whose work is a celebration of paper as art.
Lisa Abbatomarco is an interdisciplinary artist celebrated for her innovative use of handmade paper in mixed-media sculptures. Her work transforms this humble material into striking, larger-than-life sculptural puppets that blend strength, delicacy, and a sense of playful wonder. Through her creative exploration, Lisa re-imagines paper as both a medium and a subject, pushing its physical and conceptual boundaries. Her installation for this exhibition will showcase her unique ability to celebrate the transformative potential of paper as art, inviting viewers into a world of imaginative storytelling and artistic ingenuity.
