This class will learn how to control layers on a wet surface to build up soft edges and depth with layers.
Are you ready for this class? Have you been taking instruction and feel confident working wet on dry and controlling your water to pigment ratio? Are you stuck only working with tutorials and want a better understanding of paper drying time and wetness of pigments? Have you been practicing watercolor weekly (or more) and are looking to advance?
My classes remove the fear of trying new methods in watercolor we will practice methods and show what works vs. why things happen. Reference materials will be provided. Please see materials list, materials will also be available for purchase or use.
Supply list:
- Students should bring a variety of round brushes-synthetic preferred unless you are able to control natural hair brushes.
- 11 x 14 or larger paper: 140 lb or 300 lb professional 100% cotton watercolor paper COLD press
- Variety of watercolor tubes pre-dried in a palette
- Board to secure paper to, preferably non-porous
All other materials will be provided.
If you do not have these materials, you can purchase paper and borrow supplies from the instructor.
