Four-week Storybook Class: Write, Sketch, and Publish-Ready! Ready to turn your bedtime brainstorms into a polished children’s book? In this playful, hands-on four-week course you’ll learn the craft of children’s book writing from idea to finished spread. We’ll mine for story ideas, build characters that leap off the page, and shape your voice for young readers. You’ll get clear editing guidelines specific to children’s books and practical tips for pacing, rhyme (if you want it), and age-appropriate language.
Each week includes thumbnail sketching and drawing exercises for your dummy book, so you can test page turns and rhythm visually. By the end of the class you’ll have one completed spread, a dummy book, and the beginnings of a portfolio-ready piece you can send to agents or publishers. Perfect for picture-book hopefuls who want structure, feedback, and a finished project to show off.
