Meet the 2026 Harbor Residency Artists!
Congratulations to
Susan Auriemma, Erica Driver, Brendan Flynn, Monica Hurley, Daniel Lake, and Willy Heeks,
selected to participate in the Bristol Art Museum's inaugural Harbor Residency.
On August 29, these six artists will board WILCO, Bristol Marine's restored 1946 U.S. Army support
tug and New England's first Art Boat, for a day of observation and inspiration on Narragansett Bay during
the 2026 Huckins Rendezvous and Herreshoff Classic Yacht Regatta.
The artists will create new work inspired by their experience for East Bay Observed 2026, on view at
the Museum December 6, 2026– January 10, 2027.

Light in Motion explores light as one of the most powerful forces in art, capable of transforming mood, perspective, and experience. Artists were invited to explore the changing qualities of light and movement across seasons and places, the play of shadows, or the symbolic associations of illumination and transformation.
This exhibition will be on view at Bristol Art Museum's community gallery at Rogers Free Library from September 29th - November 18th. |
