Juror Kristin S. Street
My name is Kristin S. Street, and I was born in Providence, Rhode Island. In 1980, I obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Textile Design from The Rhode Island School of Design. I served as an Arts educator at Moses Brown School, Rhode Island School of Design and Maryland Institute College of Art as well as founding and directing the Krause Gallery. In 2005, I pursued my passion further by earning a Master of Fine Arts degree from The Maryland Institute College of Art, specializing in Sculpture and Studio Art. I embarked on a new venture in 2010 by designing and establishing The Mill Gallery within the Lorraine Mill Arts complex in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. This exhibition space has become a hub for artistic expression and is now home to the Pawtucket Arts Collaborative. Throughout my career, I have dedicated considerable time and energy to teaching and promoting the efforts of fellow artists, while maintaining a consistent exhibition schedule, with my artworks being displayed in museums and galleries across the country and abroad. Currently, I divide my time between two studio locations in Foster, Rhode Island, and Palm Harbor, Florida. These places inspire and fuel my artistic pursuits, allowing me to continue creating and sharing my passion for art with the world. |
