"Prescribing Creativity" is an exhibit that celebrates doctors, nurses, other medical professionals, and medical students who have an artistic side to share. The goal of this exhibition is to provide medical professionals the opportunity to express their creativity. Through diverse and captivating artworks on display, we aim to showcase the multifaceted talents of these individuals.

- All media, except for video or screen artworks are welcome
- BAM welcomes artworks inspired by general life experiences or medical practice and studies. All styles are accepted.
- On view Sunday Sept 22 – Sunday, Oct 20, @3:00pm
- Hand Delivery of Artwork – Sunday, Sept 15 & Monday, Sept 16 from 12:30 to 3:30pm
- Reception Sunday July 28, 2-4pm
- Art pick-up is Sunday Oct 20, 3:00 – 4:00pm, or Monday October 21, 12:30 – 3:30
Submission Criteria
- Up to three pieces may be registered through the online process.
- Deadline for online registration Sunday, September 1, 11:59pm.
- $30 for the first entry, $40 for two entries, $50 for three entries.
- Submitting artists must be able to hand-deliver the artwork.
- Delivery dates are Sunday, Sept 15, & Monday, Sept 16, from 12:30 to 3:30pm.
- Exhibit is on view Sunday Sept 22 – Sunday Oct 20, 2024.
- All work must remain on display for the duration of the exhibit.
The Artwork
- Artworks must fit through an average door.
- All work must be original.
- Accepted mediums include but are not limited to drawing, painting, collage, printmaking, photography, mixed media, quilting, quilling, fine craft, and sculpture. (No video or time-based works)
- No pieces can be affixed directly to the wall
- Please include a brief artist statement explaining your intention and/or the creative process.
- Work received must be accurately represented by images submitted online
- All work must arrive ready to install. Please include any special instructions
- Artists may make their works available for sale. All sales of artwork are negotiated between the artist and the collector. No commission is taken by the Museum. The Museum will provide all collectors with the artist contact information.
